Prestige wins Newry Business Award

Hosted by Newry Chamber of Commerce and Trade, over 450 guests attended a gala awards ceremony last Friday to celebrate the brightest and best of local business in the greater Newry Area.

With over 440 entries from almost 219 businesses into the 20 award categories, these independently adjudicated business awards were the largest to be held on the island of Ireland.
The worthy award winners were presented with trophies by the sponsor of each award category at Newrys very own businesses Oscars followin a fabulaous champagne reception and sumptuous dinner at the Canal Court hotel.

The highlight of the evening was the final presigious award, the "Commitment to the Greater Newry Area" and the audience were delighted to see this was presented a Newry man who has been at the forefront of economic, political and social life in the Newry Area fot eh past 20 years, Mr Tom Kellp.
