January ususally means employees looking at the year ahead and putting in the all important holiday requests which many managers are having to approve in the coming weeks! With the news that the Queens Jubiliee on Tuesday 5th June and the moving of the end of May Bank Holiday are marked by a public holiday giving 2 days that week many employees have been putting in holiday requests for the entire week off with the assumption that their employer will be recognising these as a Public Holidays.
