Spring brings new growth to the Jobs Market!!  Are you ready?

As the spring months begin to take hold, it appears as if new life has been breathed into the jobs market.

The latest figures from the Recruitment and Employment Confederation (REC), published on April 7th, show March experienced the fastest rise in permanent placements the country has seen for over 12 years.

Statistics from February had already revealed the nation's best performance in this area since mid–2007.

It appears hiring managers are becoming more optimistic by the day and as a job seeker you should try to emulate this! Opportunities may be just around the corner, so it is important you are ready to project an aura of confidence should you find yourself being invited in for an interview.

Here are a few things you need to consider in making yourself JOB READY!

• Make sure you have fully researched the company
• Research the companies that you really want to work for and keep in touch re: job opportunities
• Research the roles within the company so you can get an idea of your suitability
• Is your CV ready?  and tailored for the job you want?
• Start practicing questions and answers that you may be asked at interview.  Practice can help to prevent you from freezing up when you are in the hot seat. 
• Consider competency interview techniques as this format of questioning is becoming more and more popular.
